Instagram has done it again and will be rolling out a new shop feature on the explore feed within the platform.

This update will now feature and showcase a full range of shoppable items within the feed, turning it into an in-app shopping destination where shoppers can take a look and discover products from brands that they love.

Instagram has already started public testing this update in the US. However, they will be expanding globally in the upcoming weeks. This shopping feature will highlight personalized products recommendations for each user, based on the accounts that the already users follow.

But it doesn’t stop there.

According to Instagram, “Later this year, we’re adding a new Shop tab in the navigation bar, so you can get to Instagram Shop in just one tap.”

Additionally, Instagram’s parent company, Facebook, recently added custom audience creation options based on shopping activity, turning Shops features into a benefit for both marketers and consumers.

This is a great opportunity for B2C marketers to promote and sell more products on Instagram, and it’s an easier way for consumers to discover and buy new products. This will also make it easier for consumers to repurchase items without searching on the brand’s website. Promoting on Instagram’s feed will be important for consumers to know that the brand’s products will be featured on Shops.
