To launch Panasonic’s new SoundSlayer gaming soundbar—complete with immersive Dolby Atmos® 3D audio—we created a rich content strategy for social media that highlighted key features, use cases, and brand partnerships for gamers all while speaking their language.

Targeting Highly-Specific Gamers while Avoiding Stereotypes

As a soundbar, SoundSlayer was ideally suited for solo gamers who don’t rely on headsets to communicate with other players. We also wanted to be sensitive to the gaming community—which is no longer limited to teenage males—to avoid stereotyping.

Being co-developed by the Final Fantasy® XIV sound design team, the product was positioned as “for gamers, by gamers.” Because of this, we knew authenticity would be key, meaning we needed to speak the language of our audience and have fun doing so—the reason gamers play games.
